(2009/07/02) Folks, it’s that time of year again, when everyone needs to be thinking about their air conditioners. So far this year, there hasn’t been very much hot weather, so most of us probably have not been running our air conditioners.
(2009/06/19) Just about every house out there likely has some type of chipped, cracked or peeling dings on their bathtubs, sinks or toilets. It’s common, really, and through the years I have talked to a lot of people about this. Virtually everyone thinks they will need to replace their fixture.
(2009/06/05) We are all beginning to open our windows a little bit more every day. The lovely weather has arrived, and although the nights are still a wee bit chilly, the days have become gorgeous.
(2009/05/21) A lot of people have garages or basement windows that always seem to get broken. This happens especially with kids and pets around. Add a few balls or other thrown objects into that mix, and the result is broken glass. I know this as pretty much a fact, because I have a son who likes to play with balls, and no matter how much you tell your child or explain to them the damage a ball can do, the ball inevitably makes its way through a garage or basement window.
(2009/05/09) Spruce up metal doors with paint By Dale Yelich / Special to the Tribune OK, the old metal door has chipped or faded paint, the garage door is beginning to look unsightly, and the front screen door is so shabby that looking at it even scares away the door-to-door sales people. (That might not be a bad thing, actually).
